Here’s my clean review of CREACIÓN DE CONTENIDOS PARA MARKETING DIGITAL (Udemy, Keynote tool for digital content creation) based on what I found and what to watch out for. Let me know if you want a comparison with similar courses.
What the course is about
This course teaches how to use Keynote (Apple’s presentation/design tool) for creating digital content for social media, presentations, infographics, videos, reels, stories etc. It starts from basic level and goes up to more advanced content creation features. It covers typography (including importing fonts), color theory, animations/transitions, voice-over, videos and audio, and the various formats/sizes needed for different social platforms.
The instructors are Reinaldo Cruz F. and Juan Felipe Cruz. It’s in Spanish. Last updated in February 2023
What you will learn
- Create digital content of quality for businesses, social media, personal/commercial use
- Typography: working with fonts, importing them, designing with attractive typefaces
- Color theory, choosing palettes, visual design principles
- Use of Keynote’s animations & transitions
- Working with shapes, images, textures, audio/video, voiceover for richer presentations
- Correct formats & dimensions for content across social networks and professional presentation formats
What looks good
- Since it starts from zero, you don’t need prior experience. Good for beginners
- Very practical: lots of workshops (“talleres”), applying what’s learned. That tends to help retention
- Covers both design theory (color, typography) and tool-use (Keynote, animations, media). That balance is useful for making content look good, not just functional.
- Spanish language if that is your preference; helps if you are more comfortable in Spanish.
- Good rating (~4.7 /5) with 18 ratings; over 3,300 students enrolled. Indicates some social proof
What might be downsides or things to check
- Since last update is February 2023, some design/tools practices or social media formatting requirements might have changed; check whether Content / Keynote features are still current.
- The course requires an Apple device (iPad, iPhone, or Mac) since Keynote is an Apple product. If you don’t have access, you can’t follow along fully.
- It seems focused more on visual design and presentation rather than marketing strategy, analytics, or copywriting. If your goal is full digital marketing (strategy + content + metrics), you’ll likely need supplementary courses in those areas.
- If you want more advanced features like video editing, effects beyond what Keynote allows, or specialised tools (Photoshop, After Effects etc.), this may not cover everything.
Who this is good for
- Beginners in content creation who want to improve their visual design skills and create better social media / presentation content.
- People who prefer working on Apple devices and with relatively user-friendly tools.
- Creators, small business owners, educators, or anyone needing to produce content quickly, and want to learn design elements (typography, color, layout).
- Those who want to produce visually attractive content without needing advanced or expensive design software.
My verdict
If your goal is to create good-looking social media posts, presentations, infographics etc. with relatively little technical overhead, this course seems well suited. It gives a practical, hands-on path using Keynote. If you already have design tools experience, or need deeper skills in marketing strategy, analytics, video post-production, or platform-specific features, then this alone might not be enough.
