Description
This workshop will help you create a complete architectural BIM project from design to the working stage in a consulting office, producing “Working or IFC Drawings.” It will also cover the construction phase in a contracting company, producing “Shop Drawings.” This process will require you to learn how to coordinate with other disciplines, which will be covered in the workshop. You will also be able to create company templates and master the creation of Parametric Families, as these will be part of the company’s standards.
You will learn how to work with a full BIM team through collaboration, dividing tasks among yourselves and sharing in their completion. You will understand all the documents used in the technical office, including RFIs, RFPs, sample submissions, and approvals from the consultant. Additionally, you will manage a complete project with all its components using Revit. You will be fully prepared to work on large projects and eager to enhance your technical skills in the BIM field. In this workshop, you will learn to:
Create a complete architectural project using BIM for consulting offices and contracting companies.

Creating a model from scratch for a real project.
Developing the model to LOD 300.
Understanding the nature of structural, mechanical, and electrical models.
Learning how to coordinate between different sections using Revit.
Linking the model to the quantities.
Managing all architectural quantities.
Extracting and printing all executive drawings.
Creating all shop drawings and elevating detail to LOD 400.
Using Navisworks for more precise coordination with other specialties.
Working with real document samples for the consultant’s responses to the contractor and how to correct the issued comments for a clean copy.
Extracting As-Built drawings.
Creating renders using Enscape to attach to the shop drawings and the As-Built.
Determining site coordinates.
Using Dynamo to speed up work and verify model accuracy.
