Scaffolding remains one of the most widely used access systems in construction, maintenance, and industrial environments—and one of the most hazardous when improperly planned, erected, or used. Falls from height continue to be a leading cause of serious injuries and fatalities worldwide, with scaffolding-related incidents accounting for a significant proportion of these events.

This Scaffolding Safety Awareness course provides a structured, end-to-end understanding of scaffold systems, access requirements, working platforms, fall hazards, inspection practices, and regulatory compliance. Designed at an awareness and user level, the course enables learners to recognize unsafe conditions, understand their responsibilities, and contribute actively to safer work-at-height operations.

The course covers scaffold types and components, safe access and egress, platform protection, stability and foundations, fall prevention hierarchy, personal fall protection systems, scaffold erection and dismantling principles, and formal inspection and tagging systems.
